One man was killed and another is behind bars after a dispute between neighbors turned into a deadly shooting in Dania Beach Thursday evening.
The incident happened at 7:39 p.m. near the 100 block of Southwest 5th Court.
Broward Sheriff's Office officials said 25-year-old Odney Charles was in his home when he was confronted by a group of people.
The altercation moved outside where someone fired multiple shots, wounding Charles. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later died.
Detectives later determined that Charles' neighbor, 28-year-old Rooby Gedelus, participated in the incident.
Gedelus was charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Broward jail. It's unknown if he's hired an attorney.
