Police Investigate SoBe Shooting

Aerial footage showed streets were closed off in South Beach after a report of a shooting.

A man was in custody Wednesday after he got into a fight with another man and shot him in the leg, Miami Beach police said.

It wasn't immediately known what charges the man would face, said Miami Beach Police spokesman Juan Sanchez.

The man who was shot sustained a non-life threatening injury to his lower left leg and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center, police said.

Police said the shooting occurred at 909 Alton Road. The two men then got into a car and stopped at 16th Street and Alton, where both men were found.

Aerial footage showed streets were closed off and a man in shorts and a white T-shirt was receiving medical assistance.
