A Pembroke Pines neighborhood was closed off for part of Tuesday morning after police found a man's body inside of a park area.
Officers responded to the Cobblestone community near Southwest 147th Terrace and 7th Street just before 5 a.m. after hearing reports of shots being fired.
Once they arrived, officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds on a bench near a playground. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed entrances to the complex while searching for anyone involved, but were not able to capture anyone and re-opened the area.
Officials have not released the victim’s identity but said he is not a resident of Pembroke Pines.
Police said they are looking for multiple persons of interest who are believed to have been present during the incident, and said they believe it is an isolated incident.
