Miami-Dade Police have identified a woman whose body was found burned near the corner of Flagler Street and SW 114th Street in Sweetwater on October 11.
According to MDPD investigators, a 911 call came in on October 11 reporting a fire in the area. After firefighters extinguished the fire, officers found a woman’s body.
The body was taken to the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office who identified the woman as Rominia Fernandez, 17, of Sweetwater. Miami-Dade Police investigators said they are following leads and ask anyone in the community who might know anything about the crime to speak up.
