A City of Miami Police Officer is expected to be okay after he was involved in a car crash on Sunday evening, officials said.
The incident happened in the area of Northwest 27th Ave and Northwest 7th Street just after 6 p.m. Officials said the accident happened when the officer was responding to a call to assist another officer on a traffic stop.
Investigators say both the police car and a black Cadillac CTS were traveling northbound on 27th Avenue when the collided. Right now, officials have not said who caused the crash.
Both the police officer and the driver of the other car were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition.
