Pembroke Pines Charter High School was briefly placed on lock down Thursday morning in response to what police call a series of suspicious tweets.
The school is located at 17189 Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines.
Pembroke Pines Police say they investigated the tweets, and students were briefly evacuated from the school to allow for that investigation. The students have since been allowed to return to the school and are safe.
Police noted that they take any and all threats seriously and will investigate all threats to ensure safety.
It is unclear what threats were made in the suspicious tweets.
