Early Morning Bomb Threat Causes Massive Search of Pembroke Pines School

Police responded to a Pembroke Pines elementary school early Monday morning after a potential bomb threat was called in.

Officers received the call shortly after 5:30 AM of a possible device at Lakeside Elementary School, located off NW 136th Avenue.

Parents were told to bring their students to nearby Walter C. Young Middle School, where faculty and staff from Lakeside were present to provide more information as it came in.

Shortly before 11 AM, the all clear was given by officials and the students from Lakeside will be transported back to that school after lunch.
