A Miami-Dade teenager is back home after he walked away from his mother’s car and disappeared.
Matthew Tomescu, 14, was found early Saturday morning after he used his cell phone to call 911.
The teen is currently being evaluated at a nearby hospital.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement put out an Amber Alert for Tomescu Friday afternoon. The boy’s mother, Jeanne Tomescu, said she was picking up her younger son at South Miami K-8 School on Thursday when Matthew walked away from her car and disappeared.
