A Port St. Lucie man was convicted Friday on child pornography charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A jury convicted Alexander Michael Roy, 31, on one count of online enticement of a minor and five counts of possession of child pornography, according to a release.
Roy will be sentenced in Spetember and could face anywhere from 10 years to life in prison, officials said.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office worked to locate online predators and posted an advertisement on a website that read: “We are staying near Disney if you seek family intimate fun activities. Only serious interests please!”
Roy responded to the ad, and said he was a teacher in Port St. Lucie, the report said. Authorities said an undercover officer posed as a mom and her 13-year-old daughter. Roy communicated through email, texts and calls and traveled to Kissimmee to meet with the pair and have sex with them, officials said.
Officers arrested Roy at the meeting location and found him with condoms and personal lubricant, a release said. A search of his home also revealed several child pornography images, a report said.
It was not immediately known who was representing Roy.
