More than 1,000 customers in Miami Lakes are thankful to have power again after an outage left them without it for much of Thursday morning.
According to a Florida Power and Light spokesperson, a contractor hit a power line at around 10:30 a.m. causing widespread outages. As many as 1,760 customers were believed to have been impacted.
The outages affected the area of Fairway Drive and Miami Lakes Drive.
The spokesperson says power should be restored to all customers now.
He also believes that two smaller outages in the surrounding area have also been restored.
