The City of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday said it has lifted a precautionary boil water notice issued earlier this week.
The notice was issued in consultation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection after repairs to a 6-inch water main pipe.
"The maintenance has been completed and bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink," the City of Fort Lauderdale said in a statement.
City officials issued the notice for residents living between two areas:
- Section 1 – Northeast 32nd Street and Oakland Park Boulevard to the north and south, Northeast 36th Avenue and 27th Avenue to the west and east.
- Section 2 – Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast 29th Street to the north and south, Northeast 29th Terrace and Bayview Drive to the west and east.
