Some Lauderhill residents were left without water Sunday after a water main break, city officials said.
The break happened in the area of Northwest 26th Street and State Road 7 and was caused by Florida Power & Light, Lauderhill officials said.
Some areas were left without water, and a precautionary boil water notice was in effect while the break was being repaired.
The areas affected include:
- 2351-2551 Northwest 41st Avenue
- State Road 7 to Northwest 42nd Avenue on Northwest 26th Street
- 2439-2701 State Road 7
FP&L officials said a third-party contractor struck the water main while working on a construction project.
"We are investigating the incident and working with the city to respond," FP&L said in a statement.
