President Barack Obama will be visiting the National Hurricane Center in Miami next week to take part in the annual hurricane preparedness briefing, according to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.
"He'll be hearing from our experts, both about our weather forecast that is expected for this summer, but also to hear about the important plans that are in place to mitigate against the risk that are associated with storms that are predicted for the upcoming season," Earnest said.
The president's visit comes ahead of the of June 1 start of the annual Atlantic Hurricane Season.
