An elementary school principal was arrested Friday after he allegedly gave an undercover agent drugs at his home, officials said.
David Ryan Groover, 43, faces several drug related charges, according to the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said they began to investigate after they received a complaint of possible drug activity at Groover’s home.
According to a release, Grover provided an undercover agent with methamphetamine and GHB, also known as liquid ecstasy. Investigators report they also found marijuana at his home.
A spokeswoman for the Osceola County school district says Groover will be assigned to another position outside the school until the investigation is complete.
Groover has been released on bond.
He did not want to comment when reached by telephone on Saturday.
