Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Pleads Guilty in DUI Case

A DUI case in South Florida against one of the best NFL players of all time has come to a close.

Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor entered a guilty plea to the charges he faced after crashing into a motor home and a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle on Florida’s Turnpike in Palm Beach County last summer.

Taylor was sentenced to one year of probation, nine months of a suspended license, a fine and he'll be required to perform community service.

The wife of NFL legend Lawrence Taylor was taken into custody Thursday on charges that include battery against the former football star.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer, who currently lives in Pembroke Pines, has had several brushes with the law since retiring from the NFL following a 13 season career – including an arrest in 2009 for leaving the scene of a crash in Miami-Dade County.

His wife was arrested in 2016 at their South Florida home after she hit Taylor in the head with an object following a domestic dispute.
