Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say a racehorse worth $15,000 has been stolen from its stable.
Deputies said Wednesday the horse was taken sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.
The two-year-old horse named Six of Diamonds is a grey Quarter horse, with a white strip down the front of its face.
Authorities say the thief — or thieves — removed the horse from behind a closed gate and walked the animal out of its stable by using a halter that was hanging on a nearby wall.
The theft was discovered by one of the trainers. Deputies say the owner of the horse lives in Indiana.
