Rapper Brisco Wanted for Battery: Cops

Miami rapper wanted by North Miami Police

North Miami Police say they're looking for local rapper Brisco after he allegedly punched a man last week.

Brisco's attorneys said Friday the rapper is looking for them.

North Miami Police said the Opa-Locka born hip hop star, whose real name is British Alexander Mitchell, is wanted in connection with the aggravated battery of an 18-year-old man on June 30 in the 2000 block of San Souci Boulevard.

Brisco allegedly punched the man, causing severe injures and knocking him unconscious, before fleeing the scene in a white Range Rover with Florida tag 863 TCA, police said.

The rapper, who has worked with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, released his first album "Street Medicine" earlier this year. In 2009, he was getting his hair cut at a Miami barbershop when a group of armed men came in, forced Brisco to the floor and stole his jewelry, cash and Range Rover.

The car was later recovered.

Reginald Mathis, Brisco's attorney, said he has contacted the North Miami Police Department but has not received a response.

"Mr. Mitchell remains ready and willing to cooperate fully with City of North Miami Police and expects to be fully exonerated," Mathis said. "Upon City of North Miami officials contacting me Mr. Mitchell will make himself available."
