Israel Camacho had a change of heart after hearing the gospel from his would-be robbery victim.

But he still tried to commit a robbery and Broward Sheriff's deputies were on the hunt for him. Turns out, the 37-year old was already in jail for another armed robbery.

Camacho was the tragic figure in a 5-minute surveillance video that showed his inner struggle with robbing a Pompano Beach Metro PCS store last week.

In the video, Camacho pulls out a gun on Nayara Goncalves, but after the woman begans preaching about Jesus, he confesses he is desperate and needs $300 to pay his rent or he will be evicted.

"Jesus has something much better for you," Goncalves replies before revealing that there is very little cash inthe register to begin with.

Camacho, clearly torn, begins repenting on the spot and even tells Goncalves that the gun isn't real and apologizes before voluntarily walking out of the store empty-handed.

But Camacho clearly missed the point of the impromptu sermon because we are pretty sure that "much better" heavenly opportunity didn't mean a better robbery target.

Camacho's change orf heart was short lived as he robbed a Payless Shoe Store a few hours later with the same BB gun, BSO detectives said.

But his religious experience appeared to stick with him.

Witnesses said as Camacho left the robbery with cash, he told the show store clerk, "God Bless you.”
