Repo Man Injured in Shooting: Miami-Dade Police

Miami-Dade Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening.

Police received a call of a man shot in the area of Northwest 22nd Avenue and Northwest 99th Street, just before 7 p.m.

"This neighborhood is known for a lot of criminal acts, drugs and robberies," said Alfredo Nunez, who lives in the area.

Police said the victim, a repo man, was sitting in his tow truck when he was approached by three black males. One had dreads and was wearing a black shirt and black pants, and the other two were in all black clothing.

The suspects attempted to open the victim's truck and when they were unsuccessful, police said they shot him through the window.

The victim, 53-year-old Serge Lossard, was able to leave the area and call 911. He was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The motive is unknown at this time. Police are still investigating whether Lossard was repossessing a vehicle or this was a robbery.

"Everybody here has to be at home early because if you are out here too late, you have a chance of getting mugged, robbed or even shot," Nunez said.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call police immediately.
