Knicks power forward Carmelo Anthony is planning to opt out of the final year of his deal to test free agency, according to ESPN and Yahoo! Sports.

Anthony has until Monday to official inform the team of his decision. ESPN reports that Knicks president Phil Jackson said he hoped Anthony would consider opting into the final year of his contract and test free agency in 2015.

Recent rumors have mentioned the possibility of Anthony joining the Miami Heat. However, Heat president Pat Riley dismissed the rumors during his press conference on Thursday, saying, "That's not where we're headed."
