Residents Forced to Evacuate After Fire Breaks Out Inside NE Miami-Dade Apartment Complex

Residents of an apartment complex in Northeast Miami-Dade were forced to evacuate Tuesday morning after fire broke out inside one unit.

Crews rushed to the scene at the four-story Cedar Glenns complex located at Northeast 195th Street and 7th Avenue just before 3 a.m. after reports of the blaze breaking out inside one of the over 100 units.

No serious injuries were reported as at least 60 people were forced to evacuate. Officials have not released any information on how the fire started or the extent of the damage.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m., some residents were allowed to return inside.
