The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery that turned deadly in Pembroke Park Monday.
Deputies say they received a call around 1 p.m. about an apparent hold-up on the 5400 block of West Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
Two men got into an altercation near a bus stop when one of the men pulled out a gun and started shooting.
The suspect fled on foot but may have jumped into a car neary shortly after.
The victim, identified as 56-year-old Luis Rodriguez, was found with gunshot wounds and rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital. BSO says Rodriguez later died at the hospital.
Detectives say they are looking for surveillance video from nearby businesses and homes.
