Runway Closed at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport After Plane Landing Gear Collapses

Officials said there were no injuries.

A runway is closed at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport after a small plane's landing gear collapsed on landing Saturday morning, officials said.

The Piper Navajo made a rough landing on Runway 8, which will be closed until the plane is removed, according to airport spokesman Chaz Adams.

Six people including the pilot were on board, but there were no injuries, Adams said.

It is unclear what caused the landing gear to collapse.
