One man is in custody and another is being questioned after a SWAT team entered a Fort Lauderdale home early Monday following an altercation, police said.

The incident began around 5 a.m. when the two men, identified as 28-year-old Frank Livolsi and 26-year-old Tetric Brown Jones, got into an altercation in the 1100 block of Northwest 24th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale Police said.

During the altercation, a gun was fired and Livolsi was struck in the hand, police said.

Officers responded and took Jones into custody for outstanding warrants, police said. Livolsi fled in his car to his home which was a few blocks away, police said.

A SWAT team was called in and Livolsi eventually came out without incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to his hand, and gave officers permission to enter his home and recover the firearm, police said.

Neither Livolsi nor Jones were cooperative with the investigation and Livolsi didn't want to prosecute, police said.
