Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a home run in the tenth inning to give the Miami Marlins a 7-6 win over the New York Mets on Saturday.

The home run was the second in two days for the catcher and his fourth of the season. A day earlier, Saltalamacchia was part of a back-to-back moment that at the time looked like a game winner as well. The blast came against the Mets' closer Kyle Farnsworth who has been enjoying a good season thus far. Saltalamacchia's home run was the second of the day for Miami as Giancarlo Stanton had hit his seventh long ball of the year in the sixth inning.

The sixth frame was an active one for the Marlins as they scored five runs and took a 6-5 lead at the time. Marcell Ozuna tallied his fifth double of the season and Reed Johnson had a big pinch-hit double. It was Johnson's second two-bagger of the year and it produced two critical runs. Those extra base hits were part of a 10 hit day for the Marlins as a team.

Kevin Slowey started the game but only lasted four innings in a lackluster effort in which he allowed five runs on five hits to go along with a pair of walks and four strikeouts. The win was credited to Mike Dunn who improved to 2-3 with two perfect innings of relief. Dunn struck out four along the way for one of his best outings of the season. Steve Cishek rebounded in the ninth from his blown save on Friday with a scoreless inning for his fifth save of the year.

The Marlins will send Tom Koehler to the mound on Sunday as they try to win the series before heading back home.
