Sea Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood Airport

An emergency landing of an amphibian plane Monday morning caused temporary closures of one runway at Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport.

No one was hurt in the landing, around 9:30 AM on the north runway of the airport.

The Cape Air plane did not appear to be seriously damaged, but an investigation continues into what caused it to make the landing. The north runway remains closed while crews work to remove the aircraft, while the south runway remains open for both departures and arrivals.
