Search Continues for Pembroke Park Postal Worker Assault Suspects

Authorities continued their search Friday for a pair of suspects who assaulted and robbed a United States Postal Service worker in Pembroke Park.

Postal inspectors distributed flyers in the area of the Holly Tree Patio Villas at 3401 Southwest 52nd Avenue Friday, a day after the attack.

Authorities say the postal worker, who has been a letter carrier for 20 years, was attacked from behind and had his mail keys stolen. He was taken to a nearby hospital with head wounds.

The Broward Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation. Authorities said they're looking for two white males, both about 6-foot and 200 pounds.

In early April, another postal worker was robbed in Lauderhill. Surveillance video shows the suspected robber moments before the incident. The suspect got away with the master key to the mail box.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
