A bomb threat at the Broward County courthouse led to a search that turned up nothing Tuesday morning, officials said.

Fort Lauderdale Police received a call around 7:35 a.m. of a bomb in the building at 201 S.E. 6th Street in Fort Lauderdale, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said.

The courthouse was closed at the time, and no one was allowed inside while bomb squad and K-9 units searched the building.

No bomb was found and the courthouse opened a short time later.
