“Seductive Barfly” Drugs, Steals From Men: BSO

Authorities are looking for more victims of a "seductive barfly" who they say has been drugging and stealing from men from Miami to New York.

“We have a woman who is attractive, she’s young, and she is using her looks to find victims,” said Gina Carter of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Ashley Done, 26, is accused of stealing from the men dating back to May, when authorities say she went home with a man she met at Blue Martini bar in Fort Lauderdale, the BSO said.

Done spiked the man's drink, knocking him out until the next morning and giving Done time to steal his laptop, two luxury watches and two bank cards, the BSO said.

On Aug. 20, Done and another woman, Penny Barbosa, met a man at Blue Martini bar in Miami, brought him home and drugged him, taking several items including his Rolex watch, the BSO said.

The next night, Done met another man at Blue Martini bar in Fort Lauderdale and the two drove to Solid Gold in Oakland Park where they picked up a second woman. The three went back to the 65-year-old man's house and while he was in the bathroom, the women stole his Rolex watch and left, the BSO said.

According to the BSO, Done is an escort in South Florida and New York, and is a suspect in a similar incident that happened in New York in August. Barbosa was arrested on Aug. 23 and Done turned herself in days later. She has since bonded out and it's unknown if she has an attorney.

“There are a series of women that do this kind of crime, this isn’t something new,” Carter said. “But we are actually looking for additional victims.”

The BSO is asking anyone who thinks they may have been victimized by a scheme like this to contact them at 954-202-3110 or 954-493-TIPS (8477).
