The Miami Marlins will begin a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on Friday.
Miami is starting a six-game road trip with this series, after losing three of four to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Miami. The Marlins allowed 36 runs in the four-game series with Los Angeles and that trend may continue in Colorado. Miami will need the offense to step up like it did on Thursday when it posted 13 runs.
Sandy Alcantara has been keeping the ball in the park lately, but that may change in this series. Alcantara will get the ball for Friday's series opener, fresh off a strong 7.2 inning performance. The right-hander has not allowed a home run in three of his last four appearances. Prior to the solid stretch, Alcantara had allowed seven home runs in a span of four games.
Hector Noesi will make his third start of the season on Saturday, after struggling in the first two. Noesi has allowed ten runs in 11 innings thus far and has been tagged with a loss twice. Noesi is bringing an 8.18 E.R.A into this outing and he has allowed four home runs so far. The veteran had a solid year in AAA, but he has been overmatched in the big leagues thus far.
Jordan Yamamoto will start for the Marlins in the series finale on Sunday. Yamamoto has surrendered eight home runs in his last five starts combined, after allowing none in his first five outings. The right-hander's E.R.A has risen to 4.42, following a tremendous start to his big-league career. Yamamoto will be tested once again in Coors Field, against one of the better hitting teams in baseball.

Brinson tallied 3 runs batted in during Thursday's win and now will be looking to find his power stroke. The outfielder has not hit a home run this season and has only six doubles in 114 at-bats. Brinson spent much of the season in AAA, after struggling mightily to begin the season in the majors.

Garrett Cooper has at least one hit in nine consecutive games, as he continues to be Miami's most consistent source of offense. Cooper has taken a step back in the power department, but he is still contributing on a daily basis. The 28-year old is hitting .292 with one run batted in over the past week.
