Several children were reported ill from vomiting, diarrhea and fever at a Broward school Friday, officials said.
The Broward School District is working with the Florida Department of Health to determine what caused the illness at Manatee Bay Elementary School at 19200 Manatee Isles Drive in Weston, said Broward County Public Schools spokeswoman Tracy Clark.
It is not clear how many students were affected.
The school urges parents to encourage their children to wash their hands frequently with soap and water, and to keep children with stomach flu-like symptoms at home.
