Police released the sketch of a man who brutally attacked and raped a woman on Miami Beach.
The attack happened Sunday around 10 p.m. as the woman walked to work along the 2100 block of the beach.
Detectives say the woman was suddenly punched several times by the unknown man. The suspect placed the woman in a choke hold and then slashed her face with sharp object.
Miami Beach detectives say the man then sexually assaulted the victim. She was able to fight back and managed to escape from her attacker. The woman ran to a nearby hotel where she called for help.
A witness told NBC 6 he saw the victim running covered in blood.
Police say the suspect was wearing a faded green short sleeve T-shirt with unknown type of white logo with triangular shapes and light colored long shorts or folded pant legs. He is slim built and about 5'7"- 5'8" tall.
