Small Plane Makes Landing on Miami-Dade Road

Cessna reported engine troubles before landing on road 5 miles from Tamiami Airport

A small plane was forced to land on a road in southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday morning after it reported engine problems, officials said.

The Cessna 152 safely landed in the area of Southwest 136th Street and Krome Avenue around 11 a.m., FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said.

The plane landed about five miles southwest of Tamiami Airport. Two people were on board and there were no injuries, Bergen said.

No other information was immediately known.
