More than 350 pot plants, worth an estimated $290,000, were seized from a suburban Berwyn home on Wednesday.

There might have been a stinky smell in the air as firefighters battling a small blaze this morning in Southwest Miami-Dade stumbled upon a stash of pot plants in the burned-out grow house.

Firefighters responded to the fire on the 2000 block of SW 58 Court around 4:30 a.m.

Nobody was home as the fire swept through the house, but the smokeeaters found some suspicious wiring and duct work in the house. That and a host of plants that bear a striking resemblance to weed.

Police responded to the scene and are investigating the wacky tobaccy plants.
