A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for much of South Florida on Friday.

Areas west of the turnpike and in Homestead got dense fog in areas.

The National Weather Service says visibility in some areas could be one quarter of a mile or less, and drivers should be careful, drive slow, use low beam headlights and leave distance between vehicles.

Morning temperatures will be in in the lower 70s. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s again Friday with lots of sunshine. The possibility of patchy fog once again developing at night.

A weak cold front will come through Saturday morning.  It will drop our high temperatures to the upper 70s by the afternoon.  We will have a few clouds sticking around, as well as breezy conditions.

Expect a little more sunshine on Sunday, with temperatures warming  back into the 80s by the middle part of next week.
