South Florida's Biggest Fourth of July Firework Celebrations

In celebration of our nation's Independence Day, several South Florida cities will host patriotic extravaganzas, with entertainment, delicious foods, and much more. Here are eleven South Florida cities where you can catch all the fun, excitement-- and of course, fireworks.

Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show at Black Point Park and Marina:

Enjoy the great outdoors while exploring the park’s bikeways, scenic jogging trails, grab a bite to eat, and bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a family picnic. The day culminates with a spectacular waterfront fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. The event is located at 24775 SW 87th Avenue in Cutler Bay. The park opens at sunrise and admission is free.

Celebrate an Old Fashioned Fourth with CocoWalk:

Families can experience an afternoon of patriotic activities featuring: interactive games, live entertainment, concessions, an appearance by Lady Liberty and much more. The free event will kick off with live entertainment at noon and continue until 9 pm with a remarkable firework show at Peacock Park. Guests can also participate in the 8th Annual Hot Dog Eating Competition.

City of Fort Lauderdale Independence Day Weekend Celebration:

The city of Fort Lauderdale invites you to join them for an Independence Day Weekend Celebration. The excitement kicks off on Friday with Friday Night Sound Waves on Fort Lauderdale Beach from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. and Starlight Musicals in Holiday Park from 7 - 10 p.m. The fun continues on Sunday at our Jazz Brunch from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. along downtown's Riverwalk. Then, get ready for the Fourth of July Spectacular on Monday from Noon - 9:30 p.m. at A1A and Las Olas with family activities, beach games, live music, and a dazzling fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Independence Day Bash at the Homestead-Miami Speedway:

Back for its seventh year, this Independence Day bash at the Homestead-Miami Speedway will delight patriots of all. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. a sea of people will descend upon the track—being treated to live music, food trucks, and kids’ activities. Last year’s event boasted over 20,000 attendees and this year is expected to draw even more. Of course, no 4th of July celebration would be complete without a fireworks display and this will be no exception.

Miami Beach Fire on the Fourth Festival:

Celebrate our nation’s birthday at Miami Beach’s North Shore Bandshell Park on Collins Avenue and 73 Street with day-long entertainment and activities for the entire family. The event kicks-off at 9 a.m. with free yoga on the beach and food trucks beginning at 11:30 a.m. Free entertainment with DJs and a kid zone featuring a rock climbing wall, bungee station, inflatable slide and face painting station will follow at noon. The event concludes by lighting the night skyline bright with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m. Parking and and tranist will be made available.

The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida Celebrates 2016 Freedom Festival:

This free event will be held at the Outside Festival grounds located in front of Miccosukee Resort & Gaming. The Freedom Festival will be an all day event for everyone from 10 a.m. to 4 PM. Come and enjoy free exhilarating Airboat rides, free alligator Wrestling Shows, free Carnival rides and Water Slides for the kids, plus an amazing selection of hand made Native American Arts and Crafts from Native American.

Fourth of July Miami Gardens Celebration:

The patriotic fun kicks off at noon at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex located at 3000 NW 199th Street in Miami Gardens and ends with a special fireworks show at 9 p.m. Activities will include: bounce houses, a basketball tournament, flag football, face painting, food trucks, a kid zone and much more.

Bayfront Park Fourth of July Firework Show:

Celebrate our country’s independence in the heart of downtown Miami! Bayfront Park will offer a free Kids' Zone, music, yoga, food & beverages and the largest free fireworks show in South Florida! Visit the Budweiser Beer Garden for a refreshing beer, live music and more! The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end with a firework extravaganza at 9 p.m.

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea to Celebrate Fourth of July with Family Fun, Parade & Fireworks:

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will host its annual 4th of July celebration, kicking off with the annual town parade at 10 a.m. The day-long event is where friends and family can celebrate our country’s birthday, and also celebrate Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. The parade will be followed by a day of festivities at El Prado Park. Family Fun Day will feature a water slide and fire truck for the kids, as well as other fun activities. The celebration will conclude with a firework display at 9 p.m.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Independence Day Festivities:

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will host an Independence Day celebration from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Seminole Paradise Valet Lot. Festivities feature 18 gourmet food trucks, LED robots, LED drummers, a glitter tattoo station, live body painting, balloon artists, themed stilt walkers, face painting, models, dancers, live music and entertainment, Budweiser beer specials for $5 and cocktail specials for $10. A stunning 22-minute fireworks show will be launched at 9 p.m.

Star-Spangled Spectacular 4th of July Celebration on Hollywood Beach:

All are welcome to celebrate our nation’s 240th birthday on Hollywood Beach on Monday at the annual Star-Spangled Spectacular 4th of July Celebration. This annual event features entertainment beginning at 2:00 p.m., highlighted by a dazzling offshore fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.
