Two Squatters Found With Drugs, Grenades and Firearm Face Charges: Cops

Two people face charges

A man and woman face charges Wednesday after police say they were found living in a New York man's vacation home with narcotics, 10 grenades, a firearm and a pet pig.

Darin James Febus, 37, and Miriam Scott Bailey, 32, were arrested after police responded to a report of a disturbance at 2012 S.W. 37 Ave. on Tuesday night.

Authorities say they were squatters and the drugs that were found in the home included cocaine and marijuana that apparently belonged to them.

The grenades were found in a drawer in the bedroom and a pet pig on the premises.

Febus was charged with grand theft auto, possession of cannabis, and also possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond is $13,500. Bailey was also charged with grand theft auto and possession of cannabis, with a bond of $6,000.

They both remain in jail, and it wasn't immediately known if they had attorneys.
