What a meshugener!

A Miami man charged with attempted second-degree murder threw a courtroom fit Wednesday, threatening a judge after he realized he'd be spending the Jewish New Year behind bars.

Juan Rodriguez, 41, started kvetshing in a Miami-Dade courtroom after he was told he'd be held without bond and wouldn't be released in time to celebrate Rosh Hashanah in the comfort of his home.

"I'm gonna f---ing kill you," Rodriguez said repeatedly as he cursed and yelled at Circuit Court Judge Beatrice Butchko. "If you don't let me out of here, I'm gonna f---ing kill you!"

Butchko, to her credit, kept her calm during the proceeding, noting that Rodriguez didn't appear to be in any shape to answer questions. He disagreed, asking her what she needed to know.

"What do you want, what's your pleasure?" he said.

Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed a nurse at the Grand Court Lakes assisted living facility in Miami where he works. The nurse was hospitalized.

Rodriguez will start off the new year at the Miami-Dade detention center, where he probably won't be allowed to blow the Shofar.
