Two kayakers who became stranded were rescued by a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue air crew after their kayaks sank.
Officials said the two kayakers were left stranded after their kayaks began to take in water just north of Petro Point on Elliot Key, officials said Thursday.
An extensive multi-agency search was started and a flight crew from Air Rescue South was able to find them with the help of night vision goggles.
The kayakers were hoisted up and were later reported to be in good condition.
