A Miami high school student is dead after he apparently passed out during a physical education class, police said.
At around 1 p.m., the unnamed tenth grader was running around the track at G. Holmes Braddock High School when witnesses said the boy suddenly collapsed.
Witness identified the student as 16-year-old Antonie Robas, but police would not confirm the victim's identity.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and took the teen to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
It's unclear what caused the boy's death, but initial reports indicated heat exhaustion.
