Students Evacuated Due to Power Outage at Coral Springs High School

Students were evacuated from Coral Springs High School due to a power outage, the Broward County School Board confirms.

Florida Power & Light is responding to the school, located at 7201 West Sample Road in Coral Springs.

It is not known what led to the power outage.

Coral Springs Police says the students were evacuated to the football field. Coral Springs Fire Department says they are treating several of the students for heat-related illnesses.

On Thursday, several students were also treated for heat-related symptoms at a concert at the school that afternoon. A total of 14 students were evaluated and three were taken to nearby hospitals in that incident.
