Miami-Dade Fire Rescue on Thursday said five people were treated, four of whom were taken to the hospital, after a fire in a high-rise apartment in Sunny Isles Beach.
Two of the people hospitalized are in critical condition.
The three-alarm fire occurred on the west side of the 17th floor of the Winston Towers 500 Association building.
The identities of those affected by the fire are not yet known. The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
