A Sunrise Police officer is facing charges after he was arrested during a domestic violence incident at his home, authorities said.
Patrick Gravelle, 41, is facing aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic violence battery charges after his arrest Sunday, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.
Gravelle was booked into the Broward Jail Sunday. During his bond court hearing Monday, his attorney asked for a low bond amount and assured that Gravelle would attend his hearings.
The judge ordered Gravelle to stay away from the alleged victims and not to possess firearms after his release on bond.
Sunrise Police said Gravelle has been with the department for two years and four months. Officials wouldn't comment due to the pending investigation.
According to the arrest report, the incident began when Gravelle got into a verbal altercation with his step-son, who claimed Gravelle was screaming and yelling at him to get out of his house.
As the step-son was gathering his belongings, he heard a bullet being chambered into a firearm and looked up and saw Gravelle pointing a gun at him yelling for him to get out of the house, the affidavit said.

Gravelle told authorities the step-son "began to aggressively come towards him," the report said. He also said his step-son is on steroids and bigger than him so he "clipped my gun onto my belt," the report said.
Gravelle's wife told officers that two weeks earlier Gravelle had threatened to shoot her, kill her, dump her body in the Everglades and kill himself while pointing a gun at her chest, the report said. She said she didn't call police because she was afraid of what he would do.
She also had bruises on her arm and said Gravelle had pinched her as a form a punishment, the report said.
Gravelle denied pointing his gun at anyone, the report said. Several firearms that were found in the house were impounded.
