‘Superman Bandit' Strikes Pompano Beach KFC: BSO

The man made a quick clothing change before robbing the KFC, authorities said.

Authorities were searching for a man they have dubbed the "Superman Bandit" after he made a quick clothing change before stealing cash from a Pompano Beach Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Detectives on Monday released surveillance video of the man, who walked into a KFC at 341 W. Atlantic Blvd. on Feb. 17 wearing a blue pants, a striped blue and white polo shirt and a baseball cap, the Broward Sheriff's Office said. He then changed into blue pants and a white T-shirt.

He ordered a drink and waited as someone else placed an order. When the register opened, he jumped over the counter, got money out of the register and fled.

The other person tried to chase him, but he got away.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Broward Sheriff's Office at 954-321-4270 or the Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. There is a reward of up to $1,000 if information leads to an arrest.
