Officials are searching for a suspect after he yanked a gold chain from a victim and fled.

According to Plantation Police, the suspect approached an employee of Reliable Rides located at 830 N. State Road 7 and began inquiring about purchasing a car.

During the conversation, the suspect grabbed a gold chain from the victim's neck and ripped it off, police said.

They described the suspect as a black man 23 to 25 years old, weighing 140 to 150 pounds, with gold teeth, wearing black pants, a red Adidas shirt and red sneakers.
Surveillance footage caught the strong armed robbery on tape.
