Authorities have interviewed and cleared the "person of interest" who became angry over buying stamps and then left suspicious packages inside a Miami Beach post office Wednesday.
Officials with the USPS Inspection Office said the man was cleared on Thursday, and they thanked residents for their vigilance.
According to Miami Beach Fire officials, the man went into the post office located at 1300 Washington Avenue around 3 p.m. with two packages.
Officials said the man attempted to buy stamps for the packages. However, he was not able to get the stamps and became irate. He then left the post office and left the packages behind.
Employees noticed the packages were addressed to the FBI and called authorities.
Authorities arrived on the scene and evacuated the post office. Hazmat and bomb squad units arrived on the scene to examine the packages.
Police said the Hazmat team cleared the packages a short time later.
