The City of Sweetwater is holding a donation drive for the families of two residents who were killed in a recent car accident.
The families of Maria Martinez and Marlon Gutierrez are in need of money to cover the funeral and future expenses, an email statement said. Martinez and Gutierrez were killed in a car accident in Coral Gables.
Gutierrez's family wants to send his body home to Nicaragua where his children live but can't afford it.
Anyone who is interested in donating can go to the reception area of Sweetwater City Hall, 500 SW 109 Ave., between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Friday.
