TMZ Releases Video it Says Depicts Florida Airport Shooting

TMZ obtained the video that shows a man remove a black handgun from his waistband and begin shooting

Shocking surveillance video released Sunday appears to show the moment the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport shooter opened fire.

TMZ obtained the video that shows a man remove a black handgun from his waistband and begin shooting in the baggage claim area of the airport.

TMZ did not say where it obtained the video, but it appears to be from a surveillance camera.

The FBI said Sunday that it was not prepared to confirm or deny the video's authenticity.

Esteban Santiago, 26, was taken into custody at the airport after the shooting and charged with an act of violence at an international airport resulting in death.

Santiago allegedly opened fire in a baggage claim area after retrieving a handgun from his checked luggage in the airport's second Terminal on Friday. Five people were killed and six others were wounded.

If convicted, Santiago could face the death penalty.
