Team Bosh Extends Shooting Stars Streak to Three

Chris Bosh, Dominique Wilkins, and Swin Cash won the Shooting Stars Competition once again

Team Bosh led by Miami Heat star Chris Bosh picked up its third straight title in the Shooting Stars Competition on Saturday.

Bosh was joined by NBA Legend Dominique Wilkins and WNBA star Swin Cash in the competition once again. The competition was part of 2015 NBA Saturday Night which is the annual location of skill-based events preceding the All-Star Game. Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was the home of the competition.

The clinching shot came courtesy of Wilkins in the final round from half-court. The time on the clock was 57.6 seconds which is far from the best time. It was enough however to top Team Westbrook which consisted of Russell Westbrook, Anfernee Hardaway and Tamika Catchings. That team took 90 seconds without hitting the necessary half-court shot which is the time limit for the event.

In the first round, Team Curry which consisted of Stephen Curry, Dell Curry and Sue Bird was eliminated. Team Millsap also did not advance to the final round. Members of that team included Paul Millsap, Scottie Pippen and Elena Delle Donne.

Bosh is a reserve in Sunday's All-Star Game as well and is the lone Heat player available for the game. Dwyane Wade will not participate in the game despite being selected by coaches. Wade is recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of several games for Miami.

The NBA All-Star Game will tip-off on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
