Teen Accused of Killing Girl in Florida City Appears in Court

The teen arrested in New York for a shooting in South Florida that left one girl dead appeared before a judge in Miami Friday.

"Okay sir, you were indicted it looks like by a grand jury for first-degree murder," the judge said during the hearing.

Christopher Walker, 15, is also facing charges of attempted premeditated murder, attempted murder and throwing a deadly missile.

Law enforcement extradited Walker from Brooklyn, New York, while a grand jury indicted him for the murder of Noricia Talabert and the attempted murder of Deanne Clayton and Daquantay Allen in Florida City this past October.

The three victims were sitting in a car in Florida City when Walker allegedly shot at them.

Talabert was 17-years-old and straight A student with a promising future. The areas of Florida City and Homestead have seen 16 homicides since Jan. 1 and this has prompted local leaders to speak out against violence in their communities.

The judge gave Walker no bond on all the charges. He'll now stay behind bars until his trial starts.
